Galey Media offers clients a range of services.  Perhaps you’re just starting family research, but you’re not sure where or how to begin. We can offer consultation to get your project off and running in no time.  Maybe you’re a veteran genealogist, but you have need of significant research work in Nebraska, South Dakota, Wyoming, or Colorado.  Our schedule is built around your needs, and we can provide extended research services that provide real results without costing you a fortune.

We’ve been involved with genealogy for more than 30 years and have extensive knowledge of popular genealogy software like Family TreeMaker and Roots.  We’ve produced family reunion brochures and family histories, and we’d like to help you produce yours.

Larry Miller is a member of the National Genealogical Society, the South Dakota Genealogical Society, the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia, and the Rapid City (SD) Society for Genealogical Research. He has completed training in genealogy and historical studies at the Institute of Genealogy and Historical Research at Samford University. Larry has appeared on network radio and television programs promoting genealogy and leads Galey Enterprise efforts in the Family Research area.

                               FEE  SCHEDULE

HOURLY RESEARCH FEE:   $20.00/hr ($30.00 for first two hours, paid in advance.)
Additional hours will be used only after consultation with requester. We will search municipal and county records, historical society records, newspaper archives, maps, and any other appropriate or desired sources found in our service area.

MILEAGE:   $ .40 per mile. This is in addition to the hourly research fee.

PHOTOCOPYING:  $ .25/copy

PHOTOGRAPHY SERVICES:  We will provide high quality digital photographs of places, homes, grave sites, cemeteries and landmarks using a digital camera. Cost includes regular hourly research rate, mileage, plus   $5.00 per 8x10 inch print or $2.50 per image for JPEG images provided via e-mail or Compact Disc.

DOCUMENT TRANSCRIPTION:  Certain older documents which cannot be photocopied because of their condition may be transcribed at the regular hourly research rate.

REPORTS & DOCUMENTS:   All information gathered will be computer generated and sent to clients via e-mail or USPS, per the desire of the client

DOCUMENTATION: Detailed invoices will be provided to all clients for services provided.
